"I thought the venue was a huge improvement on St Francis, certainly based on our last meeting there.
My only concern would be in the winter months, if numbers dwindle. There were '20 odd' of us last week and the venue looked pretty empty. I have no idea how low numbers go on occasions but we might look a little bit lost if numbers are low?
I am assuming that being a new building it will be warm enough in the winter months"?

"I really don't see the point in changing venue because of the stuffy atmosphere at St Frances if we can't open the windows at Hassocks because of the noise from the training. I would strenuously object to money obtained for training purposes being used to subsidise accommodation: please remember that I was responsible for the grant that raised the majority of it I know it is more convenient to forget but such is life!
If the tables are not moved those seated on the sofas cannot see the main table or the speaker and were very fortunate that Alan could move around and had the presence to make himself heard. Hassocks people coming in and out were most distracting and as a diabetic driver I object to there not being any coffee provided when the soft drinks were laden with sugar"! |
| Mervyn Coomber enjoyed the new location and commented on what an improvement it was to St. Francis, noting that the extra 6 mile round trip (he also sensibly car shares with Gary and karl) was well worth it. |
